I have to admit I cried a little when I saw this. Obviously, it would be horrifying (annnd deadly!) to be stranded in space, just floating among all of…that…but oh, how incredibly beautiful. And if these are my reactions to a photo, I can’t even understand what it would be like to just float up there (again, in an ideal setting where I wouldn’t be destroyed!). And yet…it feels bizarre to consider that that’s what’s actually happening. All of us are floating among this magic. We are a part of it!
It looks so sullen and barren and scary, but that’s sort of how we feel about everything mysterious, isn’t it?
The universe is such a vast place. It makes me sad to think there’s no way I’ll live long enough to know everything about all of it. And what about the stuff in other universes? I WANT TO TOUCH IT ALL!!!

Project 365, Day 331 (11/27/10): Flew back to Lubbock today. :( Anyway, found this awesomeness in the sky near the airport! Pretty, right?
Project 365, Day 320 (11/16/10): Love how the branches and leaves framed this part of the sky.
Project 365, Day 307 (11/03/10): I ended up pulling another all-nighter, so I decided to go outside for sunrise, but the sky didn’t look nearly as pretty today! But I did end up snapping a photo of these birds chilling out on the roof across from mine.
Project 365, Day 305 (11/01/10): These are the types of things you get to see when you pull all-nighters! This is sunrise, on my patio in Lubbock, TX.
Project 365, Day 290 (10/17/10): Sky was really dark today! It looked strange against the white clouds. In College Station, we don’t really get many clouds (the sky’s just blue all the time, lol), so seeing clouds in action has been kinda interesting!
Project 365, Day 251 (09/08/10): Sky looked crazy today! But so pretty and blue, too.
Project 365, Day 198 (07/17/10): The world looked pretty beautiful at dusk today.
Project 365, Day 178 (06/27/10): Not the best quality, but I love how all the objects in this picture turned out black, against the muggy white sky.
